English producer and composer Daniel Avery has spent more than a decade reshaping what dance music can be.
Touring his most ambitious album to date, Tremor (2025), Avery is joined by a four-piece band at City Recital Hall to build out the bold, transportive sonic world he's created of euphoric shoegaze, submerged techno, ambience and industrial bliss.
After making a name for himself almost overnight with the left-of-centre techno on his debut album Drone Logic (2013), Avery has remained a leading name in dance music, with DIY Mag dubbing him "the prince of techno".
Tremor leans further towards the rock influences long underneath his throbbing, nocturnal electronica, a thread teased out in this current live format, as Avery continues moving the needle.
