Music industry tastemaker and broadcaster Zane Lowe dives deep into the sound of now, in a Vivid Sydney exclusive conversation with triple j Mornings host Lucy Smith at City Recital Hall, as part of Vivid Minds’ Creative Trailblazers series.

Dedicating his career to connecting audiences with artists, the New Zealander has been Apple Music’s global creative director and lead anchor of Apple Music 1 since 2015 — unearthing emerging new acts alongside hosting some of the most revealing interviews in modern music.

In a rare conversation, the renowned presenter will take the interviewee's chair, speaking with Smith about how he builds trust with some of the biggest names in music, while breaking down his own creative process as one of the most influential broadcasters and voices in global music.

With unique insight into how musicians find their audience and build careers in an era of streaming — and maintain their attention in a world of endless new content — Lowe will also explore how a perform storm of taste, technology and storytelling can cut through.

Deeply passionate, Lowe’s infectious love of music guides this honest conversation of where the industry is headed, and why great songs still matter, connecting us across communities and cultures.
