After their self-titled debut album, they won Best New Artist at the Rolling Stone Aotearoa Awards in 2023 and Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the 2024 Aotearoa Music Awards.

Born to musical parents, Coterie consists of four Maori brothers whose lyrical take on reggae rock took off with 'Cool it down', a surf-sprayed ode to hometown Perth's pristine beaches.
