Event Details

Street art and projection collide in this 3D-animated graffiti mural, spray painted live at Tumbalong Park in the days leading up to Vivid Sydney. Over five nights, Australian street artist Sofles will create a 12-metre-tall mural, painted on stacked shipping containers – a nod to Cincinnati’s vibrant graffiti scene and its preferred canvas.

Head along from 20–23 May between 4–7pm each night to cheer him on and catch the magic as it’s made. Once Sofles is finished, US artist Chaske Haverkos takes over to bring the mural to life. Through projection mapping, Chaske will create a moving, breathing image, highlighting Sofles’ details, textures and linework through light and motion.

During the day, Sofles’ mural adds edge to Tumbalong Park before transforming each night at Lights On into a living, breathing work of art, set to a score by Play Audio Agency.
