Optimism abounds with Circles of Rhythm, an ode to Bauhaus, the early 20th century art movement focused on creating refined, everyday beauty through sleek, colourful and practical mass designs. Beginning from a single circle radiating outward, this projection over the historic ASN Clocktower traces how Bauhaus’s foundational use of geometric shapes and bold colours unleashed near-endless innovation.

More than a century since Bauhaus flourished in 1920s Germany (a brief period of cultural innovation and progression), the movement’s impact remains profound today. Centring simplicity, accessibility and function over form, Bauhaus’s central principals have been adopted by interior designers, artists, minimalists and modern architects.

Showcasing how transfixing simple shapes can be when reconsidered, Circles of Rhythm is an ode to artistic imagination – and an invitation to show how innovation and new futures can be created from what we already have.
