Born in the UK to Jamaican parents, Jordan moved to Toronto at an early age, and captured attention with a trio of mixtapes and EPs - Alien Phase (2010), ROJO (2011) and Pressure (2012) - that put her on the cutting-edge of innovative, R&B-infused dance pop. Jordan's gift for shapeshifting between house, UK garage and R&B lit up her acclaimed 2014 debut 1021, before a label setback saw her take a hiatus.
