Rick Robertson Trio

Rick Robertson – Vocals and Saxophones
Stu Hunter – Hammond Organ and Vocals
Ian Mussington – Drums and Vocals.
This classic soul-jazz Organ Trio serves up a tasty mix of jazz, soul and funk that’ll keep you groovin. These guys put an original modern bend on material from '60s legends Jimmy Smith, Nat Adderly and Stanley Turrentine through to modern artists such as Gnarles Barkley and Gregory Porter.
Well known for his work with internationally acclaimed and award-winning acid jazz band d.i.g and more recently with Eon Beats and Baecastuff, saxophonist/vocalist Rick Robertson has a wealth of experience and success. He has played all over the world at major festivals and funky clubs from New York to Berlin, won Mo and Apra awards and has been nominated for three Aria Awards.
Stu Hunter is an exceptional keyboard wizard who has carved himself a fine reputation working with the great Lily Dior, Silverchair, eon, Katie Noonan, Jackie Orszaczky and many more.
Originally from London, where he worked with the likes of Lonnie Liston Smith, Cameo, Stevie Winwood, Courtney Pine, Paul Weller and Steve Williamson, drummer Ian Mussington spent five years in the States touring and recording with Soul Asylum. He now resides in Sydney and is laying down wicked beats with a truly international flavour — from jazz standards and Latin jazz grooves to funky beats and beyond.

Rob Woolf Trio

The Rob Woolf Trio have collectively played with a who’s who of Australian talent from Diesel to Karise Eden, The Mighty Reapers and The Dynamic Hepnotics, hip hop artist Phrase to Luke Steele, Silverchair and Ruby Boots, Guy Sebastian, The Tambourine Girls, The Strides, Tim Finn and more.

They have backed the Jamaican Rocksteady great, Stranger Cole, and the blues legend, Eugene Bridges, toured with Rodriguez and have been members of the best loved reggae outfit, King Tide.

All that aside, it is within a quieter bare bones approach as a trio that they can simply relax, reminding themselves of all the music that they cherish, music from Jamaica, New Orleans, blues and soul from Memphis and Chicago.

The trio consists of Rob Woolf on keyboards, Carlos Adura on drums and Rowan Lane on bass.
