Tirzah, one of the most exciting singers coming out of the minimal, electronic, R&B movement in the UK, is heading to Carriageworks for an intimate night of sonically rich sounds on Saturday June 15, 2024, as part of the Vivid Music program.

The singer-songwriter has been captivating audiences since 2013 with her unique blend of intimate storytelling and innovative soundscapes. Tirzah's debut LP, Devotion, released in 2018, received widespread acclaim, earning a "Best New Music" award from Pitchfork and establishing her as an artist of emotional depth and authenticity. The Guardian praised the album for its "alluring stories of intimacy and love," further solidifying Tirzah's reputation as a masterful storyteller.

Tirzah's second LP, Colourgrade, released in 2021, pushed her sound into uncharted territories and was named one of the top albums of the year by BBC 6Music, The Guardian, and Pitchfork, among others, and cemented Tirzah as a leading avant-garde musician in the UK.

As well as her longtime friend and musical partner Mica Levi, Tirzah has collaborated with artists such as, Babyfather, Lafawndah, and Mura Masa. She has also ventured into remixes, commissioning friends and family to rework every song on Colourgrade, resulting in a collection of innovative reinterpretations.

Tirzah's live performances are not to be missed, with sold-out shows at iconic venues such as London's Brixton Electric and New York's Brooklyn Steel. Her music resonates with audiences who appreciate boundary-pushing pop music that maintains a deep sense of connection.
