A dark comedy punctuated by moments of drama, Sofia Coppola’s debut feature explores the emotional underpinnings of a family starting to come apart at the seams in 1970s Midwestern America. The Virgin Suicides stars a breakout performance from Kirsten Dunst, alongside James Woods, Josh Hartnett, Kathleen Turner and Danny DeVito.
