Heaps Gay Qween's Ball

Winter Is Coming… and 90's SUPERSTAR VANESSA AMOROSI IS JOINING THE QUEERS FOR SOME FUN. 

We managed to convince the Sydney Town Hall to let us back in for another year! OH DEAR! 

On June 8th the queers will be taking over the best building in town for the Heaps Gay Qweens Ball in association with Vivid Sydney.

We’ve got a huge treat this year with 2000’s icon Vanessa Amorosi of Absolutely Everybody and Sydney Olympic closing ceremony fame popping in join the queers. She will be performing a couple of her classics from the late 90’s/early 00’s.  We plan to make this a show you wont forgot and can't wait to belt out Shine with the rest of you. 

Musical guests will also include pop electronic singer and songwriter Kota Banks of Nina Las Vegas’ NLV Records, experimental pop duo Collarbones, Kilia & her Sistas + some of Australia’s best DJs including MIMI, Mowgli May and Fur Coat.

Presented in partnership with Vivid Sydney, Young Henrys, Archie Rose and Sparkke, 2019’s theme for the ball is Winter Dark Fantasy Lux, think Narnia, Labrinth, Got, The Woodsman. 

Showcasing the city’s best queer performers, the inaugural event will see burgeoning, established and even brand new queens take to the stage to strut their stuff for all of Sydney to see.

Get your best op-shop glam winter look together if you wanna be crowned Spirit of the Ball Best Dressed and win some stuff from Archie Rose, the best gin in town

The event will be hosted by top shelf comedians Victoria Zerbst and Jenna Owen of Freudian Nip and The Feed (SBS VICELAND).
