Never fear, Haiku Hands are here… ready to liberate us from the everyday. Bringing their rainbow super-soaker of joy and fun to the Tumbalong Nights stage, this alt-dance pop-tronic all-girl-power troop of Claire Nakazawa, Beatrice Lewis, Mie Nakazawa, and performing member Mataya Young, promises to have everyone up and dancing from the first beat.
Wild and raw, unabashed and unapologetic, their music spells empowerment and freedom – particularly for anyone who feels repressed or like they are not allowed to take up space or be in certain spaces. Reminiscent of relentless, sexy, punkish electro acts Miss Kittin, Ladytron and Le Tigre, Haiku Hands’ rave energy, chanted harmonies and scythe-like synths will bounce you onto the dance floor – pronto.
