Emma Pask @ Camelot Lounge
Award-winning Australian vocalist Emma Pask is heading back to Camelot for Vivid Sydney!!!
Recently nominated for an ARIA award for Best Jazz Album of the year and on the back of sell out shows nationally and internationally throughout 2016, she is super excited to be hitting the road again and sharing her music with you all.
“Two Out” – a chance to catch one of Australia’s finest voices up close and personal, in this beautifully intimate duo setting of voice and piano.
Award-winning vocalist Emma Pask is sure to delight as she interweaves storytelling through timeless swinging jazz standards, upbeat latin rhythms, tender ballads and of course some raucous blues.
Well known for spending the last 20 years by the side of jazz virtuoso James Morrison, Emma Pask has firmly established herself as one of one of this country’s favourite voices in jazz.
“Whilst it’s fashionable to be a jazz singer these days, she’s the real thing!” – James Morrison
Caravan Slam @ Django Bar
The Caravan Poetry Slam brings together around 20 local poets, a panel of judges, and a room full of what they hope to be, “open hearts instead of roses, open minds instead of rotten tomatoes.”
TARAS JONES will play harp for us from 7.15 pm
ROBERT GRAY THE WINTER POET and DENITA NAIR are our two gorgeous feature poets. Both started with Caravan Slam. Robert is an accomplished actor and poet. Denita is a multiple winner of our Caravan Slam and performed at Pachamamma Latin American Festival 2016.
Anyone can sign up and sacrifice their three-minute slam to the open space. Each poem will be scored and then the top three poets compete in a finalist round to decide the winner. Interactivity is integral, with other elements of ‘Emergency Art’ integrated into the night in the form of written confessionals and ‘coughed up’ soapbox-style Emergency Slams.

Access and Inclusion
