DRESS UP ATTACK! FOR CHILDREN & GROWN UPS @ SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE
When:
31 May 2015
10:00 - 13:00
Location:
Sydney Opera House, Joan Sutherland Theatre, Sydney NSW 2000

Labelled a ‘Hot Pint-Sized Festival’ by Rolling Stone, Dress Up Attack! brings its special brand of musical family fun to Vivid LIVE with a one-day program for children ages 2 - 8 all parents and carers.

Sydney Opera House theatre and foyers will become a kid-friendly collage of indie-rock performances and interactive activities, with bands, DJs, creative play experiences and the Dress Up Attack’s signature Awesome People Reading Books!

Sydney musician Holly Throsby and her long term band, The Hello Tigers headline the morning, performing songs from their ARIA Award-nominated, alternative kids’ record album See! - a wondrous and inquisitive collection of naïve pop songs for kids.

Legends of Australian 90s pop/punk, Ratcat will perform a selection of their best-known hits. Rarely seen on stages since their manic chart topping heyday, the band line up will feature Ratcat mainstays Simon Day and Nic Dalton and will be completed by special guest drummer Alison Galloway of Smudge for a family friendly, all ages gig.

The foyers  will feature a series of DJ sets including Ro Sham Bo member Levins, and Paul Mac & Seymour Butz manning the decks as Stereogamous presents Voguey Teddy Bear. Total legend Phil Jamieson will host the whole day and keep everybody moving!

Don’t forget: Parents and kids are encouraged to dress up!
