A musical enigma on the verge of superstardom, Ghanaian-born Sydney-sider BLESSED brings his singular mix of hip-hop, punk rock and soul to Vivid LIVE with AUSSIE BLACKSTAR.

Influenced by everyone from Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain to Kanye and Kid Cudi, BLESSED found a community in Western Sydney’s booming young hip-hop scene, serving as executive producer on superstar The Kid LAROI’s breakout EP 14 With A Dream and dropping a string of underground anthems before releasing his long-waited, widely-praised debut mixtape, Music Is the Medicine, in 2020. In 2021, BLESSED unleashed the moody, guitar-based trap of LOCKDOWN TAPES VOL.1., and performed a stunning set as part of Sydney Opera House’s Liminal music film series. His latest single, the charged sociopolitical anthem 'No Changes', debuted in February, alongside the announcement of his signing to Matt Corby’s Rainbow Valley Records.

For his Vivid LIVE performance, BLESSED will be accompanied by performances from friends and collaborators including RnB and neo-soul singer Maina Doe, emerging Brisbane hip-hop artist Baby Prince, Sydney rapper Manu Crooks, future-soul singer Chirine, Matt Black and BBGB.
