Event Details

One of the first to spin gold by blending folk and electronica, Beth Orton will rapture crowds as a shining light in the Concert Hall for one night only this June, in her overdue Sydney Opera House headline debut.

Over her brilliant career, the BRIT Award winner has mesmerised with an acoustic guitar, soothed with her distinctive vocals and seduced audiences around the world with her lush songs.

For her latest album Kidsticks (2016) she has embarked on a fresh approach to the electronic influence that helped first bring her attention in the mid-’90s. Live, Orton will bring the best of both worlds, performing those synth-driven new tunes as well as stripped-back acoustic favourites.

No stranger to historic Opera House shows – Orton was a standout performer at the Leonard Cohen tribute Came So Far For Beauty in 2005 – this English national treasure is set to chalk up even more of them at Vivid LIVE.

“One of our very best artists, right at the top of her game” – Louder Than War
