Access and Inclusion
Where does contemporary art begin and the nightclub end? There are more similarities between galleries, museums, and clubs than we see on the surface. They are all spaces where people gather for transformative experiences. This winter, Club 77 teams up with Vivid Sydney and leading events and booking agency UNDR ctrl to explore the connections between sound and vision.
VJ, visual artist and forward-facing creative force Passive Kneeling (aka Tom Vanderzeil) is set to turn Club 77 upside down and inside out with a mind-boggling display of complex fractals and abrasive abstract imagery. His futuristic visual feast is intuitively programmed for the eclectic soundtrack curated by two of Australia’s most exciting artists – Close Counters and Golden Vessel – playing a special back-to-back DJ set, supported by rising Sydney star, DJ Macaroni.
Sound quality is always paramount, and this special event is no exception, powered by Club 77’s state-of-the-art KV2 Audio sound system, where the future of sound is made perfectly clear with a crisp, thumping audio experience.
Immerse yourselves in this sensory overload as Sydney’s longest running nightclub is transformed into the fourth dimension, where the boundaries between electronic music, sound art and audio-visual performance are blurred beyond cognisance. Dance – connect – explore – manifest.
Welcome to the multiverse.
Presented with support from Vivid Sydney and City of Sydney.
