Australia’s premier international film festival is back for 12 days and nights in June with the world’s best new films. Sydney Film Festival has partnered with Vivid Ideas to present a diverse range of talks with guest filmmakers and industry experts.

Over the last year, the status of women in the film industry has been thrust into the spotlight in a significant way. Around the globe, women are fighting for change by crafting fantastic features. This year, Sydney Film Festival is screening a showcase called Europe! Voices of Women in Film, which comprises of 10 incredible films from European women filmmakers, many of whom will be in attendance. 

Meet these emerging women directors and hear what they have to say about the industry gender gap in a fascinating, insightful and important discussion.
