As we emerge from a distorted wonderland of expansion and contraction, it’s time to tread softly and dream big.
Curiosity, energy and optimism are the drivers for community storytelling in film, photography, art, design, dance, music and drama – as seen through the eyes of young creatives at Bradfield College.
Join a panel of special guests including creative strategist Mo Fox as we explore the importance of play, spontaneity and creativity in education. This session playfully uncovers connections that celebrate creativity in the city of Sydney.
Find out how play allows for happy accidents and unanticipated delights. You’re invited to stop and play, then glimpse how our emerging creative talents approach our city and this ‘new normal’ by embracing the unexpected.
Discover what happens when we abandon control to something bigger – looking for the collision of ideas, focusing on the micro and macro, living large, small, slow and fast. What happens when we allow ourselves to be tumbled by the wave of new thinking, take a blank canvas, adjust the aperture? Where does the light fall and what do we choose to focus on?
Join us as we uncover Sydney as a Playground of the Unexpected.
12:00-7:00pm: General admission to the exhibition, music and markets with guided ticketed tours throughout the day.
4.30-6.00pm: Creative Education Symposium: How can a ‘playground of the unexpected’ provoke curiosity, energy and optimism?
