Join us for lunch and listen to the perspectives of four global leaders on what we can hope from cities in the future and what changes we need to start making now. This discussion is ideal for urban planners, architects, government officials and business leaders as well as for those curious as to the city-wide impacts of developments in AI, big data and cultural capital. 

Professor Genevieve Bell is the world’s leading cultural anthropologist and an expert in AI who brings a unique outlook to any talk about technology, people and future planning. Genevieve has over 20 years of experience working for Intel Corporation in Silicon Valley. She has also graced the world stages with the likes of Jeff Bezos talking about the impact of AI on humanity. Genevieve is the director of the newly established 3Ai Institute at the Australian National University and continues at Intel Corporation as Vice President and Senior Fellow.

Genevieve will present a 20 minute keynote on the latest developments in AI and new technologies, how they will shape our daily lives and the cities and the ways in which we might have to respond.

After the keynote we will hear three short case studies from Mayor Mike Rawlings of Dallas, Texas, USA, Mayor Betsy Price of Fort Worth, Texas, USA and Dale Dickson the CEO Gold Coast, Australia.These cities have undergone transformations and are now economic and cultural hot spots as well as being great places to live.
