WE HAVE OFFERED UP LEADBELLY TO BE AN ACTIVE EXHIBITION SPACE FOR LOCAL ARTISTS AND ARE THRILLED TO HAVE THE LADIES NETWORK UTILISE THIS OPPORTUNITY FOR THE VIVID FESTIVAL.
Here's a little info about them:
"The Ladies Network is a multi-platform agency for female identifying and gender-fluid creatives. The Ladies Network organise events, exhibions, music nights and run and website that supports and recognises the creative contribution of women in the areas of art, music, performance, business and design. Run by four women from Sydney, Arabella Peterson, Lara Vrkic, Emmeline Peterson and Jessica Mincher, the goal of The Ladies Network is to create opportunities and foster viable careers for wom*n in the arts."
And a little bit about what we will do with the space:
"To shine a light on local creatives, The Ladies will take over Leadbelly's front window box for the duration of Vivid Festival. We are curating the space by featuring the art of female-identifying creatives as well as their signature pink light sign so that passersby can appreciate some local talent and grow awareness for woman in the arts.
The Ladies Network's mission is to highlight the talent of female-identifying and gender-fluid creatives as well as create paid opputinities for artists, therefore all the art exhibited in the widow will be for sale on TLN's online art store."
