Future Sydney: Global innovation for building inclusive cities

Lucinda Hartley is an urban designer, social entrepreneur and one of Australia’s leading voices on social innovation. Named as one of Melbourne's 'Top 100' most influential people and has spent the past decade pioneering new approaches to shaping human centered cities. She is co-founder and chief innovation officer of Neighbourlytics.

Having been a special advisor on housing, urban regeneration and planning to five successive senior UK ministers, Tim is recognised as one of the world’s leading urban renewal thinkers and practitioners. Tim is one of the country’s leading city thinkers and is currently Cities Leader for Australasia at Arup.

Dr Michael Cohen is director of City People, a new arts and cultural consultancy based in Sydney.  City People develops culture-led placemaking strategy and projects with the goal of changing people’s association with place for the better. 

For many years Michael led the direction and implementation of cultural programmes in The Rocks and Darling Harbour in his role as Creative Producer at Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority.  Michael also continues to work as a practicing artist and researcher.

David Beaumont is a proud Wiradjuri man, born and raised in Sydney, Gadigal Country. David is the Senior Community Engagement Coordinator (Aboriginal Community Development) at the City of Sydney, he has redefined the narrative that underpins and guides the vision for the direction on Indigenous strategies, plans and policies.

Joanne Kee is the Executive Producer of Riverside’s National Theatre of Parramatta (NTofP). Riverside is a leading performance-based organisation in Western Sydney and a hub for communities for over 30 years. NTofP creates, commissions and presents new work to build and support creative communities who reflect contemporary Australia.
