Event Details

Going Down, 1983

Karli (Tracy Mann) is moving to New York to escape her out-of-control life in Sydney. The night before she leaves, her three best girlfriends decide to give her a night she'll never forget.

Mark Swayer said "no film I've seen has better captured the chaotic heartbeat of the young sensation-seeker's Sydney." – Sydney Morning Herald, 2011

Curated & hosted by Jay Katz & Miss Death
Presented by: Haydn Keenan

Haydn Keenan is an Australian producer, writer and director best known for his 1980s features, Going Down, and the controversial Pandemonium. Going Down is “one of the few truly independent outsider films of Australian cinema. It was made on the run without government funding, but it reflects a lifestyle that was not uncommon in the major cities in the early 1980s”
