CRAFTERNOON: Fibre, Nature, Paper

City CBD and Surrounds
2000 NSW

Event Details

Crafternoon is centred around a lazy Sunday programme of tea, craft and conversation.

Unwind and pull up a chair and get creative through a series of self guided tutorials. We will give you the techniques to find inspiration in the everyday materials around you: from discarded paper and fabric scraps, to colourful yarn, to dried flowers and sticks. Make lovely wall hangings, weaves, greeting cards, artwork and succulent holders for your home. Learn from the peers around you and inspire each other as you spend the afternoon making.

The event is suitable for people usually intimidated by creativity and also for those who thrive on it. We want to take you to a place where you are free to create and make in a relaxed environment. Simplicity is the key. It’s an open craft session: Make one thing or several. Find your medium: whether it be with fibre, paper or with nature, or a combination of the three! Come craft with us!

Everyone will leave with a goodie bag - Yay! - So all your crafty creations will get home safe.

Crafternoon is co-hosted by craft lovers: Ria of Craftsposure and Kylie of We Heart The Arts. They are excited to be presenting the event at Vibewire Sydney, a community and co-working space for young people, by young people.

Tea will be served by Life of Cha and a surprise is in store from Bobbin & Ink.
