Beautiful Freak in the Machine transforms the Powerhouse into a 3D magazine, telling stories of fashion, freedom and self-expression.

In a night for style fans and pop culture geeks, the curators assemble videos, talks, music and live performance to celebrate the outliers, the misfits and the spirit of creativity. Fashion editor for The Australian Glynis Traill-Nash gives a live keynote alongside virtual contributions by fashion icon Karen Walker, self-described mutant aliens Perks & Mini, local heroes Romance Was Born (plus more to be announced). The hyper work of photographic artist Byron Spencer also infiltrates the space.

Dress up, turn up early and play late at this artful evening curated by stylist and creative director David Bonney, soundtracked by DJs Annabelle Gaspar and Lorna Clarkson, with a bar and curator lead tours of Robert Rosen’s Glitterati. It’s a must do night out for Vivid Sydney.
