Access and Inclusion
The Awesome Foundation, in partnership with Vibewire, has $3,000 to make Sydney more awesome for young people and they need you to tell them where to put it.
There are five ideas in the running, chosen from hundreds submitted to the Awesome Foundation this year. Each idea will be pitched by its creator. There may be tears, there may be glitter. There will definitely be a tough competition.
In for the pitch:
“Bringing LUV back to Sydney”. Lighting up Sydney's self-expression with music and inclusiveness.
“Art of Access”. Creative workshops for artists with disabilities, by artists with disabilities.
“Supertee”. Making sick kids in hospital feel like superheroes.
“Theatre of Consciousness”. Breaking down barriers in Waterloo through creative mental health outreach with young people.
“Our Aussie B-boys”. Lifting street dance battles to a higher level of prestige and respect in our cities.
So who decides the outcome? You, the audience! The power to grant will be transferred from the Trustees to the event attendees. Be moved. Be inspired. Be empowered. The Awesome Foundation is a global network of micro-giving chapters that gives $1,000 of their own money every month to awesome projects, with no strings attached.
There are 92 city chapters across 17 countries, from the UK to India, Bulgaria to Brazil. Vibewire is a launch pad for young change makers, giving them the skill set and mind set to create the future.
