The Sydney chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization will present an inspiring panel of entrepreneurial leaders to impart their insights into business success as part of Vivid Ideas 2017.‘Championing the Entrepreneur’s Journey’ will explore how these Australian pioneers have taken creative business ideas and grown them into true successes.
The Vivid Ideas panel of Entrepreneurs’ Organization members represents a diverse range of businesses from fashion and digital marketing, through to property and ecommerce — all with one common thread: entrepreneurial business success. The panel will share their insights into how trust, respect, collaboration, and a thirst for learning alongside individual personal traits such as ambition and enterprise have played a part in their journey and enabled their businesses to thrive.
The individual panelists include:
Chris Gray (Your Empire) started buying property at age 22, semi-retired at age 31, and currently holds over $15m in his property portfolio. His business builds property portfolios for time-poor professionals, searching, negotiating and renovating on their behalf. He is also the host of ‘Your Property Empire’ on Sky News Business Channel.
Gina Lednyak (L&A Social) recognised an opportunity for a full service strategic social media and digital agency specialising in digital strategy and implementation with a strong focus on creative content execution, analytics and consumer behaviour. Since its launch, L&A Social has doubled its size and revenue each year, and today services more than 60 clients globally. Gina’s work earnt her the Telstra Young Business Woman of the Year award in 2016.
Jane Lu (Showpo) has transitioned from a business analyst at accounting firms KPMG and EY to become a fashion savvy entrepreneur and the owner of the Showpo empire — the online shopping site with a 2.5M social following and $30M revenue run-rate.
Lauren Fried (Pulse Collective) has grown her business into a full service award-winning advertising agency, dedicated to entrepreneurs. Lauren has picked up a few awards of her own including the prestigious NSW Telstra Young Business Woman of the Year award. As well as being an expert marketer and tech founder, Lauren is a regular panellist on the ABC hit show Gruen.
Michael Frizell (Pet Circle) has built on his years of experience across different industries including management consulting, banking and retail to grow Pet Circle to become Australia's #1 online pet store and a multi-million dollar global leader in the online pet supplies market.
Steve Hui (iFLYflat) has used his years of experience in senior finance roles to carve out a niche as ‘the points whisperer’ — a luxury points concierge and reward points advisor. He started his own business inspired by innovative thinking, passion for travel and a burning desire to optimise things and is now the leading authority on maximising the return from reward points for business.
