Trained in Germany and with extensive experience in top-tier establishments across Europe and Australia, Steven is celebrated for his commitment to regional and sustainable ingredients, crafting flavour-driven menus that highlight the best of Australian produce.

The vibrant flavours of West Africa meet modern brasserie cuisine in the stunning historic setting of The Porter House Hotel Sydney – MGallery for this unique Chef Series pairing. 

In the elegant ambience of Dixson & Sons, within The Porter House, Ghanaian chef Selassie Atadika, renowned for her pioneering New African Cuisine, will collaborate with executive chef Steven Hartert, whose expertise in luxury and fine dining cuisine with traditional European twist sets the stage for a truly unique fusion of style and tradition. 

This exclusive menu will be served over two spectacular evenings, showcasing the best of both chefs’ culinary philosophies. Selassie brings a depth of African culinary heritage, and a passion for sustainable and underutilised ingredients, while Steven introduces his flair for sophisticated simplicity and dishes made with the finest local produce. Together, they will create a dining experience that celebrates their shared commitment to innovation, sustainability and culinary excellence. All in the charming setting of Dixson & Sons at The Porter House, the restored former tobacco factory in the CBD, with its well-worn brick, polished timber and arched windows.
