'Electronic music's most seasoned uncanny-valley explorer' – Rolling Stone
In the tradition of mind-melting electronic performances from Squarepusher, Amon Tobin and Chris Cunningham, Brooklyn-based producer Oneohtrix Point Never enters Vivid LIVE with his critically-acclaimed seventh album Garden of Delete – a rock-inspired rampage set to stun audiences with cutting synthesizer and decimating bass.
Exploring the extremes of electronic music, Daniel Lopatin's Oneohtrix Point Never started skirting the borders of pop culture since signing with the illustrious Warp Records. An ongoing collaborator to ANOHNI (formerly Antony Hegarty) and an insightful choice to compose Sofia Coppola's The Bling Ring, the 33-year-old has now subverted his signature glitch riddles for a 'hyper-grunge' album inspired by touring with his teenage heroes; Nine Inch Nails.
Creating a singular sonic world where malfunctioning electronics hit ecstatic highs, Oneohtrix Point Never will guide us through a deep web of mischief and melancholia featuring visuals and live guitar by long-term collaborator Nate Boyce – a retro-futurist journey set in the operatic surrounds of the Joan Sutherland Theatre.
