Is Perth-based music producer Katie Campbell. Catlips teams audio and the visual mediums for unforgettable results, syncing live electronics with original projections, controlled by auditory parameters.

Catlips' sound is a smoodge of house, experimental, dance and pop, drawing rhythmic inspiration from classic Chicago house and disco, as well as modern experimental house lords Nicolas Jaar, Four Tet, and Isaac Tichauer. Catlips has received nothing but love for what she’s put out there so far: 2012 EP "Takas" gained national and international web exposure as well as heavy airplay on RTR and Triple J, while more recently split single “Kanimbla / What U Want and Need (Are Different Things)" put Catlips on everyone’s radar for realz – a consummately produced duo of tracks that would sit right at home in the world’s edgiest clubs (and that is lapped up on local dancefloors, to boot).

Catlips joins the Heaps Gay x Vivid Sydney Line up on the 7th of June.

HEAPS GAY x VIVID SYDNEY

Heaps Gay and Vivid Sydney are transforming the Factory Theatre in Marrickville, into an day + night spectacular! An all immersive and inclusive festival of music, art and performance all presented by FBI Radio!

3pm on Sunday June 7th the Queen’s Birthday long weekend, HEAPS GAY x VIVID SYDNEY includes musical mayhem from Sydney and abroad.

Boasting the wild line-up of KIM (The Presets), Black Vanilla, Catlips, TEES, The Magda Szubanski’s, Levins, Sveta and many more, spread across 3 stages.

In the art department, bear witness to mind-bending performances from Hissy Fit, Diesel Darling and Wisteria Hysteria. Bask in the ambience of installations, projections and flash-parties by No Lycra No Lights, Glitta Militia, Optic Soup, Torrie Torrie and Bubble Rave. Finally, be a part of the photographic Heaps Gay People Project and help raise awareness for Beyond Blue.
