21 Breaths by Australian contemporary artist Joanne Handley, combines neon and argon gas in an intensely coloured glass ladder designed around the seven key chakras and their corresponding frequency in the visible spectrum.
The work, which takes it’s name from Tibetan yogic practice, draws upon the idea that our bodies are, quite literally, an extraordinary universe of particle waves. Amplifiers of electrical and magnetic energy in flux with the existential human experience.
