Event Details

Australia’s premier international film festival is back for 12 days and nights in June with the world’s best new films. Sydney Film Festival has partnered with Vivid Ideas to present a diverse range of talks with guest filmmakers and industry experts.

We are fascinated with how people view, access and appreciate films at Sydney Film Festival. But from pirating to streaming, how we access the cinema we love is changing. As movies become so easily accessible and so readily on demand, what role does the cinema experience have to play in the future? Can we keep up with this rapidly changing landscape? And where is it going next?

CEO of Screen Producers Australia (SPAA), Matthew Deaner and veteran Film Journalist Sandy George will lead the charge of industry specialists, including Lroi Flesker from Creative Content Australia and producer of 1%, Jamie Hilton.
