Meet the New Creatives.

Explore Sydney's hidden stories about our people, land and spirit through the eyes of emerging creative talent. Indulge your curiosity about the secrets that have long been buried and mysteries that have never been solved. Based on the book Hidden in Plain View by Paul Irish, this interactive, multi-modal exhibition will unravel hidden histories and reveal intriguing personalities and landscapes that are embedded in our everyday plain view.

Our 'Secrets' project connects Sydney's young film-makers, artists, writers and curators with our older generation and their families to uncover stories never told. Discover tales that have never been told from our indigenous past to contemporary urban life through documentary, short film, dance, drama, music, comedy, zines, fashion, food, sculpture, painting, illustration and design.

Then explore our artisan markets where you can support new artists by picking up a piece of original art or a selection of homewares, clothing and gifts.

Educators come and be part of a Teachmeet discussion from 4.00pm to 6.00pm about shaking up education and providing innovative creative learning experiences for students who are often disillusioned with the traditional classroom.

The New Creatives: Hidden in Plain View will open your mind to a new way of looking at Sydney and explore how senior school education can evolve to provide a much-needed focus on inspiring new creative talent in their formative years.
