Panel discussion with some of Australia's most successful content creators on the fastest growing format on the planet – Web Series

The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AFI | AACTA) is bringing together some of Australia’s most successful web series creators, who will share their experiences creating scripted web series in Australia for online audiences worldwide.

Hosted and moderated by Rosie Lourde, topics to be covered include:

  • What content works for local and international online audiences
  • How to develop a single idea into multiple short episodes of a series
  • Finding your niche/growing your community
  • Advice on scripting, casting, shooting and online marketing
  • Navigating YouTube and other video sharing websites to maximise your audience
  • Australian State and federal funding opportunities

We encourage all storytellers to attend this essential masterclass, where you will gain immediate practical tools to create your own online content and successfully navigate this incredibly fast-growing and exciting digital platform.

Access and Inclusion

  • Wheelchair accessible - Access to the venue is suitable for wheelchairs (toilets, ramps/lifts etc.) and designated wheelchair spaces are available.
  • Hearing loop - A hearing loop (sometimes called an audio induction loop) is a special type of sound system for use by people with hearing aids. The hearing loop provides a magnetic, wireless signal that is picked up by the hearing aid when it is set to 'T' (Telecoil) setting. Many venues have an induction hearing loop system. Check if your venue has this system.
  • Companion card - The Companion Card is for people with a significant permanent disability, who always need a companion to provide attendant care type support in order to participate at most available community venues and activities.
