Anything but ordinary – the Joany Badenhorst story

When she was just 10 years old, Para-snowboarder Joany Bandenhorst suffered a horrific farming accident, losing her left leg below the knee. Rather than letting the event define her, she used it to open her life to a world full of adventure, challenges and opportunities that she wants to share with you.

During the session, Joany will talk about the highs and lows of being a Paralympic athlete, from her horror crash right before the Games, to achieving success at the World Championships. She’ll give an inspiring look at her experiences and how she turned everyday obstacles into stepping stones towards happiness and a life worth living.

Allianz is proud to bring you Joany’s inspirational story which includes a presentation, Q&A session and a chance to meet with Joany after.
