John Scott applies the latest advanced practices in the fields of business, leadership, organisational psychology, analytics and engineering to educational delivery. He has been involved in management and training for more than 30 years. He has held senior corporate and general management positions for multinationals across a range of industries, both in Australia and overseas.

Today as a global management consultant working across all continents, John captures the most recent thinking and practices in the short courses he teaches at UoN. John is multi-disciplinary, being degree qualified in business, psychology and statistics. He is also an accredited lean engineering practitioner. He has spent the last 15 years designing courses for a range of leading public universities in Australia, as well as one of the world’s largest private universities headquartered in USA. With this background, he brings to UoN the most up to date short courses for equipping and developing today’s modern professional in the world's leading practices.

Entrepreneurship is the heart of business. Successful businesses arise from a desire to seize an opportunity creatively. This starts with being a blue sky visionary, but soon needs to be translated into practical reality. In this course, we capture the creative spirit of an entrepreneurial mindset whilst providing you with skills for developing the opportunity.

For those starting or alternatively, those vested with growing a business, you will learn how an entrepreneurial spirit and positive risk-taking is needed to generate a return. In so doing, this course will equip you with a mindset for identifying and executing key opportunities that prevail in the market place for achieving success.
 
We will examine the creative process for ensuring your great ideas come to fruition and explain the business development steps required for achieving a successful outcome.
