Darling Square

Short description

Darling Square is Sydney's five-star destination for fun, friends and flavour! It sits perfectly in between the city and the harbour, right next to Darling Harbour and Haymarket.

There are over 60 places to eat, drink, shop and learn, with fun events taking over the green spaces almost every week.

The centrepiece of Darling Square is the striking Darling Exchange building, which was heralded by TIME Magazine as one of the World's Greatest Places of 2021. Inside, you'll find the Maker’s Dozen Food Hall, XOPP by Golden Century on Level 2 and the newly opened Hai Di Lao Hot Pot on Level 5.  Plus, explore the vibrant laneways of Steam Mill Lane and Little Hay St, home to fan favourites like Dopa by Devon and Wing Boy.

During Vivid Sydney 2022, the landmark Exchange building will be awash with colour and the green will be home to a stunning floral installation, ‘Tomorrow’s Blossoming' by artist Gemma Ferguson.

How to get there: Darling Square is just a 10-minute walk from Central Station – you can cut through Chinatown or follow the leafy Goods Line walkway. It’s also a short walk from Town Hall Station. Or jump off the light rail at the Paddy’s Markets stop, right on the edge of Darling Square. Plus, there's parking on-site at Darling Square Wilson Car Park starting from just $8.
