Darling Quarter

Short description

Set just behind the bright lights of Tumbalong Park (Darling Harbour), Darling Quarter is a laid-back oasis of restaurants, bars and green spaces.

1-25 Harbour St
Sydney NSW 2000
Australia

The newly reopened Darling Quarter’s is one of Sydney’s most unique and welcoming public spaces with a buzzing dining precinct and open green spaces. You’re right in the centre of the city but you’ll feel like you’ve escaped the 9-5 in this little pocket of paradise.

There are plenty of places to eat and drink, outdoor seating and the largest playground in central Sydney, with engaging and interactive water play facilities. There’s also a dedicated youth theatre, which is home to Monkey Baa Theatre Company and the world's largest interactive light installation, Luminous.

During Vivid Sydney 2023, even more brilliant installations will light up Darling Quarter. It's always a popular destination for families and home to some of the festival’s more interactive exhibits.

You can learn more about Darling Quarter by visiting www.darlingquarter.com.

How to get there: Catch the train to Town Hall and it’s just a short walk down the hill to Darling Quarter. You can also catch a bus into the city and alight at Bathurst or Liverpool streets. The light rail stops at Convention and Exhibition Centre, both only a few minutes from Darling Quarter, or you can catch a ferry to Darling Harbour.
