The dazzling harbourside home to Sydney’s most iconic landmarks, transformed.

This year, Lighting of the Sails at the Sydney Opera House is Opera Mundi, an ode to nature and the Sails’s designer John Utzon by French artist Yann Nguema. Revered Samoan artist Angela Tiatia transforms the Museum of Contemporary Art with Vaiola, a projection exploring her culture’s relationship to water. Customs House will play dramatically with your sense of perception with the ever-shifting geometric designs of The Fringe of Infinity by Spanish visual artist Javier Riera.

Equally gorgeous under the sun or stars, Circular Quay is also the home of Vivid Sydney’s first-ever daytime artworks, including dynamic day and night Light installations and two extraordinary large-scale public sculptures, Manawan and THERE, NOW, HERE.

Lose yourself to the music at Vivid LIVE at Sydney Opera House, and explore the building’s iconic architecture with Saltbush & Starlight, a guided tour followed with a show-stopping dinner from Mark Olive at TIDE, an exclusive dining venue. And indulge in world-class dining experiences paired with picture-perfect surrounds with From Saigon to Sydney with Luke Nguyen at Botanic House.
