Event Details

Australian imprint etcetc Music present a night of electronic muscle for Vivid Sydney 2015 (22 May – 8 June), an 18-day festival of light, music and ideas – the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. Taking over the iconic venue ‘The Basement’ in Circular Quay, etcetc presents the percussive wizkid Kilter, sub-tropical lord Paces, rising house duo Set Mo, the e-gaze of Godwolf, and garage-tinged producer Acaddamy. Joining the line up will be special guest performers KLP, Porsches, Deutsch Duke, Nicole Millar, Madeline Vida and Tim Lockwood.

Proving himself as one of the most live and exciting electronic artists right now, Kilter will debut his midi-triggered light show for his etcetc x Vivid performance. An artist who is continually upping his game in the live space, his light show perfectly complements the state-of-the-art light installations already on show for Vivid Sydney.  Having just dropped his collab with GRMM, ‘Look At Me’ as a free download, and with an exciting new track with Porsches on the horizon, ‘Kilter’ is a name you’re going to hear a lot of in 2015.

Armed with his sub-tropical party beats, it’s easy to see why Paces is nailing it right now. Whether it’s  his signature beats for Tkay Maidza on ‘Switch Lanes’, remixes for Tinashe, SAFIA, Alison Wonderland and Years & Years, his multi-swagged live show, or his standout single ‘Nothing’s Forever’ feat. Kučka, the guy has got it going on. Joining us at Vivid Sydney off the back of a national tour Paces is definitely one of the buzz artists to catch this year.

Our exciting just-announced additions to the lineup are Set Mo and Godwolf. Sydney duo Set Mo have had a stellar 2015, championed by Triple J as the new names in house, their new single ‘White Dress’ with Deutsch Duke has been enthusicastically received across the country. The guys recently played during WMC in Miami and are about to embark on a national tour, culminating in their inaugural Splendour in the Grass appearance!

Godwolf’s silky smooth tunes have already seen them become a hit with tastemakers and industry insiders. Their most recent single, ‘Resist’ garnered praise from Triple J Unearthed, Hilly Dilly, Indie Shuffle and I Heart Moosiq, and anyone who has had the chance to catch their live show will tell you that these guys have their stage game tight.

Head of etcetc Music, Aden Mullens, says of the showcase “Vivid Sydney is a great opportunity to showcase the unique and creative performances of our exciting roster. The Basement is an iconic and intimate performance space, now with an epic new soundsystem and recent refurb it’ll make for one hell of a show.”

With a brand new sound system and its location in the heart of Vivid Sydney, The Basement could not be a more perfect location for our debut Vivid Sydney showcase with these incredibly talented artists. Tickets are available now via Moshtix, there will be limited door sales but this will be a capacity event.
