Creative Thinking & Inventing for Kids

Event Details

Creative Thinking & Inventing for Kids is a fast paced, hands-on workshop for 9-12 year olds and their guardians.

It’s an exciting, lively and fun event. You will uncover a problem and be guided through steps to invent a creative solution. You will leave with a physical prototype of your invention to take home, as well as having learned the tools to use creative problem solving in your everyday life.

Based on the design thinking method, developed by Stanford d.School, this workshop contains a variety of interactive activities that are applied to a fun design challenge aimed to enable and inspire creative thinking.

The two-hour workshop is run by six professional creative problem solvers (human-centered designers) from Perceptive Ideas.

Perceptive Ideas currently run popular monthly d.School workshops for adults. Design thinking provides a method that can be used in any area of work or personal life, by people of any age. Perceptive Ideas will be bringing it to schools in the near future.
