Event Details

After only a short time trailblazing the Melbourne garage scene, Camp Cope jump onto their Opera House debut this Vivid LIVE across two nights in the Drama Theatre. Blessed with raw riffs and rugged socio-political charm, their self-titled debut LP was deemed Best Album of 2016 by Faster Louder following their win for Best Emerging Act at The Age Music Victoria Awards.

Camp Cope aren’t your typical bedroom angst band. The album was recorded in just two days and written and released within a year of singer-guitarist Georgia McDonald, bassist Kelly-Dawn Hellmrich and drummer Sarah Thompson coming together over tattoos in a friend’s kitchen. Described as “part Courtney Barnett, part Juliana Hatfield”, Camp Cope are sure to induce a gamut of emotions with their low key melodies and independent spirits in the most epic of venues at this year’s Vivid LIVE.
