Featuring

Keane Hughes

Keane Hughes

Designer, Monogram

Keane currently works at Monogram who are a small strategically led creative agency. He is lucky to be able to work on a broad range of things including illustration, retouching, design for both print and digital and a bit of art direction. He started out studying fine arts, drawing nude models and spooky skeletons for three years. After realising he wasn’t keen on living the life of a starving artist, he looked for a more marketable skill set that, to quote his mum, would get him “a real job.”

He then went on to study communication design at Billy Blue College and graduated in 2013. From there he went into the world of advertising for a few years. After many, many late nights and tight briefs he decided that in order to polish his craft and hone his illustration skills, he would launch himself into the world of brand and design.

Denise Chippindale

Denise Chippindale

The Design Kids Host

Denise Chippindale is a Sydney based, trained visual designer and self-confessed camera addict (just ask her mates). Although in love with design and creating, she's now delved into the world of partnerships and marketing with her great mates over at General Assembly...come join in the fun or hit her up to run a talk.

Beau Penton

Beau Penton

The Design Kids Co-Host

The TDK Sydney leading man, Beau is a graphic and digital designer living in Sydney's inner west. He has gone on to complete various freelance work and is now an in-house digital designer for Williams-Sonoma inc. When he's not behind the computer, you can normally find him finessing his skills on the futsal courts of Marrickville.

Daniel Ioannou

Daniel Ioannou

Design Director at re.

Daniel got his start in the industry as a graphic designer, but his experience over the past decade has pushed him to develop skills beyond that remit. Art direction, strategic thinking, digital, experiential and environmental design are just some of the skills Dan brings to his role as design director at Re Sydney. At Re, Daniel continues to expand his skills through collaboration, developing strategic creative work for a wide range of local and international clients.

Ngaio Parr

Ngaio Parr

Founder & Director, Make-Nice

Ngaio is an illustrator, multidisciplinary designer, and curator who enjoys doing a lot of things at the same time. She works with clients like Thames & Hudson, Ban.do, Redbull, and Sibella Court from her independent studio. She teaches at the University of Technology Sydney, and is the director of Make Nice — a real-life conference and online platform for, by, and about creative women. In her spare time, Ngaio is a fan of ice cream (of all kinds), Law & Order (of all kinds) and listening to people trying to pronounce her name (it's nigh-oh).
