Event Details

Join us for this roundtable to examine the unique possibilities and challenges facing artists today whose practices include a level of participation or interaction from an audience.

Artists and curators will explore the impact of participatory approaches and tease apart notions of interactivity, collaboration, performance, and participation in order to reflect on a range of approaches possible.

Featuring leading Australian practitioners whose work challenges the traditional roles of artwork, artist and onlooker. Including: Anne Loxley, Senior Curator (C3West, MCA), and artists Agatha Gothe-Snape and Lara Thoms. New speaker, Keg de Souza, has just been announced. Keg de Souza is an interdisciplinary artist interested in the built environment, social spaces and communities.

This event is presented by the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia.
