Event Details

Are you under 25 with a sweet idea to make a difference, but no idea how to bring it life? Passionate about mental health, and want to tackle it with tech? Want to find out more on the health and wellbeing of young people from the National Youth Mental Health Foundation? Perhaps you’re just generally keen to change the world, learn new skills and connect with other thinkers, dreamers and doers? Whatever your story, this Human-Centred App Design workshop is perfect for you.

In 90 minutes you’ll learn every step in the Human-Centred Design process, including how to cultivate brilliant ideas, harness the power of storytelling and begin designing an app (even if you’re not a tech wizard). You’ll also have the chance to investigate and discuss the key issues that surround young people and their mental health. We'll discuss ideas on improving mental health services and conversations, providing a fantastic platform for anyone who is interested in improving the wellbeing of young people.

Plus, every participant under 25 can enter the Adappt Big Ideas: Mental Health Competition for a chance to see their mental health app come to life in Melbourne this December – including flights, accommodation, expert mentoring and other sweet prizes.

So what are you waiting for? There's an app inside of all of us (no technical expertise necessary). Spots are free but strictly limited, so click 'Buy Tickets' now!

About Adappt:

Adappt is a movement of young Australians designing apps that make a difference. We believe that apps are about more than stalking friends or sharing selfies or ordering takeout. You know, making human life comfier. In fact, we’re just crazy enough to believe that this technology can be about something more… making human life better. If you do too, welcome home. You’ll fit right in. Adappt is powered by Samsung Electronics Australia and the Foundation for Young Australians. Join us at www.adappt.com.au
