Zanda Cameron

Senior Associate Roberts Day

"One of the most profound memories I have growing up in the Wheatbelt was the strong sense of community and the close bonds forged, which remain today — even though I left there nearly 30 years ago. This experience was combined with the opportunity to attend a country boarding school that was a cultural melting pot in every sense. It is with these foundations that I developed such a fascination and respect for people, diverse cultures and the importance of community.”

Zanda Cameron, a senior associate with RobertsDay, is one of Western Australia’s most experienced place making strategists. Zanda works to understand and leverage local aspirations and insights to achieve sustainable community outcomes within budget. She is an energetic facilitator with a proven ability to translate analytical concepts to practical and tailored outcomes.

Her ethos is to make sure the community is ‘all aboard’ so a project can successfully launch and be delivered on the ground. Because without stakeholder engagement, the best laid place-making strategies will come to nothing. Before starting with RobertsDay in 2015, Zanda established her own consultancy firm ZKC, and was a founding director of Place Match, an integrated place making consultancy which delivers people-focused outcomes in urban renewal, greenfield and regional development projects across Western Australia.

Prior to working as a consultant, Zanda was a senior manager at EPRA (now MRA), one of Australia’s leading urban revitalisation organisations. She has extensive knowledge of community and economic development, planning, tourism, culture and the arts, property management and retail.
