Valli Morphett

Founder Morph-it, People Place Create

Valli is an energetic optimist, passionate about collaborative placemaking, innovative community engagement and community led design. She is the driving force behind Morph-it, a human centred placemaking and engagement enterprise, based in Adelaide.
Formally trained in landscape architecture and urban design, Valli has over a decade of experience working nationally and internationally as an urban designer. In 2008, she stepped into the world of local government, working within Community Engagement and Placemaking, where she delivered collaborative processes to engage communities and enable local people to create thriving places and a revitalised public realm. 
Valli is a strong believer in peer to peer learning. She convenes the Place Invaders, an informal South Australian based placemaking group, was core member of engagement collective Engage 2 Act, and is a former South Australian coordinator for International Association of Public Participation (IAP2). 
Valli is a true student of life, and is a recent graduate of the Governor’s Leadership Foundation program. She likes bushwalking, epic science fiction novels and hanging out with her dogs. In her spare time she practices pavement chalk art.
