Paris Pompor is a freelance arts journalist whose work has appeared in most of the music magazines that have appeared and disappeared over the last two decades in Australia. These days his reviews and features can mostly be read across Fairfax titles, including the Sydney Morning Herald where he has been a regular for some ten years.
A weekly fixture on community radio (formerly at FBi, and currently via two long-running programs on 2SER and Eastside FM), when not DJing, making music or organising film screening premieres, the label/events company he co-manages called Groovescooter, curate a live In Conversation series.
Those who have been interviewed by Paris or the series include internationals Devo, Amanda Palmer and Martha Wainwright, through to locals iOTA, Paul Capsis and Pauline Pantsdown. Many in-depth talks from the series are available as podcasts or VODs, a couple have also been broadcast by ABC TV.
