Group Manager of Community Place, Port Macquarie Hastings Council
Lucilla Marshall is currently the group manager of Community Place at Port Macquarie Hastings Council and is responsible in driving and managing community development, community engagement, arts and culture, libraries, customer service, inclusive communities and place making. The aim of her team is the bring council and the community closer together to develop a strong sense of place.
Lucilla Marshall has over 22 years' experience in place making, landscape architecture, design development, strategic planning, master planning, project management, team management and community engagement. Her broad career has seen her involved in the community participation, management, senior policy development and design and delivery of place making developments of all sizes including playgrounds, parks, streetscapes, CBD revitalisations, sporting precincts and city image projects.
She endeavours to ensure that her work has a positive impact on the social, economic and environmental outcomes for the areas that they were developed in. Lucialla strongly believes in empowering the community through creative and innovative solutions that develop a strong sense of play and place.
She has won a number of national awards for play space design as well as place making including Lawrence Place Townsville, Riverway All Abilities Townsville, Interactive Mural, Livvi’s Place Five Dock, Sydney and Place Making Process for Port Macquarie Hastings Council.
