Jehan Kanga

Jehan is a materials scientist, dementia services entrepreneur, community leader and interdisciplinary artist.

He recently completed a PhD with the Molecular Materials Group at the University of Sydney exploring the unique electronic, redox and thermal expansion properties of several new families of highly porous coordination frameworks.

He is also a co-founder of Vitality Club Villages, a new world’s best practice dementia specific, culturally and linguistically diverse, residential aged care village combining the latest research in person-centred multidisciplinary care with artificial intelligent (AI) ambient building design, AI behavioural analytics and deep community engagement.

Jehan is a public advocate for both the arts and sciences and currently sits on the board of several experimental, hybrid and community arts organisations. His most recent major artwork was The DAM(N) Project, a multi-platform touring dance/digital/community hybrid work in collaboration with premiere Indian contemporary dance company Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts, digital and community arts company CuriousWorks, S. Shakthidharan and Leah Barclay.
