Jason Phu is an emerging artist who currently splits his time between Sydney and Chongqing. Self-proclaimed Chinese/Vietnamese/Australian his work deals with mixed cultural identities and his experience of cultural dislocation.
Represented by the Hughes Gallery, Jason was the winner of the Sulman Prize in 2015. Critical of the term Contemporary Asian Art, Jason will give his spin on the current art scene and how his work fits in.
